Early childhood, from birth to eight years, is a pivotal phase characterized by significant growth and development in a child's life. Research conducted worldwide unequivocally reveals that 90% of brain development occurs by the age of 5. This underscores the profound impact a child's early years and the support they receive can have on their future success in school and beyond.

Project Ankur recognizes the vital role that early childhood development plays in enabling a child to realize their full potential as a healthy adult. The project is committed to creating a comprehensive developmental environment for children aged 6 months to 6 years from disadvantaged communities. Through Project Ankur, we aim to enhance their health and early learning abilities, ensuring age-appropriate growth and development.

Our interventions have fortified over 204 Anganwadi centers and provided support to 19,929 children under the age of six. We have also equipped 39,858 caregivers and 408 ICDS staff in various villages, including Raigad, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Pune in Maharashtra, Silvassa in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Ranchi in Jharkhand, Khammam in Telangana, and Visakhapatnam and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.

Over the years, our interventions have led to a noticeable improvement in the number of children reaching developmental milestones and getting closer to being ready for school. Notably, we have witnessed enhancements in the nutritional status of children attending the Anganwadi centers. Furthermore, children's hygiene practices, such as handwashing and sanitation awareness, have been significantly bolstered, leading to a reduction in the incidence of preventable diseases.

If you are inspired by our mission and the positive impact we are making in the lives of these children, we kindly request your support through a donation to help us continue and expand the reach of Project Ankur. Your contribution can make a significant difference in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in their early years.
