Who We Are

Established in 2011, Lighthouse Communities Foundation (LCF) is a Section 8 non-profit organization on a mission to build empowered communities through life-skills, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for a million disadvantaged youth across India. The organisation has been working for large-scale city-wide transformation through a unique Public Private Partnership where the Government provides capex and infrastructure, and the private sector contributes the operational expense. As the city where the program was conceived and piloted, Pune was recognised as one of the 5 cities globally through the Wellbeing Award for the ‘Lighthouse’ project under the ‘Economy and Opportunity’ category. The program has also been recognised as the best social sector initiative across Smart Cities.

Since inception, we have been able to positively impact the lives of 1.3 lakh+ citizens till date through various programs, including 42,846+ youth who have been enrolled in the Lighthouse program and provided with livelihood literacy, employment and a renewed sense of possibility. The program is currently implemented across four states; Maharashtra, Delhi, Odisha and Telangana, through 28 operational centres.
