Every month, millions of women around the world face challenges in accessing safe and affordable menstrual hygiene products. This lack of access can have a profound impact on their health, education, and economic opportunities.
We (Srujna Charitable Trust, an NGO raising funds for "PROJECT MATIREE") are committed to empowering women and improving lives by providing them with the skills and resources they need to make and sell their own sanitary napkins. Our initiative will not only provide women with a source of income but also raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and break down the stigma associated with menstruation.
Why is this initiative important?
Access to safe and affordable menstrual hygiene products is essential for women's health and well-being.
Menstrual hygiene is a taboo subject in many cultures, which can lead to shame, isolation, and a lack of education.
Women who lack access to menstrual hygiene products may be forced to use unsafe alternatives, which can lead to infections and other health problems.
Girls who miss school due to menstruation may fall behind in their studies and drop out altogether.
Women who are unable to work due to menstruation may lose income and opportunities.
About the Sanitary napkins kit:
