Mumbai, the "City of Dreams" they call it. However, that is just one side. The other side is the opposite where people are deprived of basic amenities.The urban poor lives a competely different life than the others in Mumbai do, where even the women, mothers are unable to provide basic amenities for their children and themselves. 

Apnalaya has been working with some of the most marginalized communities in Mumbai for over five decades, with a mission to empower the urban poor, with focused inntervention in health, education, livelihood and civic engagement.They aim to effect change on the ground,through a multi-dimensional approach, one where they work with individuals, communities and the government collectively.

In addition to adresssing urgent and immediate issues in the community, Apnalaya works in enabling access to basic services,healthcare, education and livelihoods; empowering them to help themselves; and ensuring provision of civic entitlements through engagement with the government.

Our cause today is provide basic amenities and services to mothers and their children living among the urban poor who need your help.Social disparities must be reduced and it is our duty to contribute to this in any way and hence, we urge you to donate to help them get access to facilities that are their rights and have equal opportunities as others. 

Funds raised shall be used for the welfare of these mothers and the children in terms of healthcare, sanitation, education,etc.
