Sexual abuse is a massive, heart wrenching problem in today's developing world. When I found about the number of people who have experienced sexual harassment or abuse, just in India, it shook me to the core. Almost 3 times the population of Austraila has experienced or been sexually abused.

I have always wanted to help people, but I never knew how to. I never knew if what I was doing would be enough. Thankfully, I reliased that every contribution matters. Everything counts if we are going to make the world better and safer. To do my part,  I decided to sign up for the TATA Mumbai Marathon, which our school introduced to us. It seemed like an amazing way to help fundraise for an amazing cause, and be able to have a say in how to improve the lives of many. 

 The Help Eradicate Abuse through Learning (HEAL) is the NGO i have chosen to support. Thier mission is truly inspiring. They help support and ecuate the 53% of people who have been sexually abused in India, before they even tirned 18. Their goal makes this disheartning truth, and the future, look a lot brighter. This is why I have chosen to support this amazing foundation.
