I am honored to represent The HEAL Foundation, and today, I come to you with a heartfelt appeal. In India, child sexual abuse (CSA) will shock you with it's staggering number of cases. One in every two children in India has been a victim of CSA. Let that sink in. These are government statistics, meaning they are official and entirely true. CSA is something that is extremely difficult to recover from. It is not like a virus or a bacteria who's effects will fade over time. It is like a chronic illness that sometimes years of therapy cannot eradicate.

No matter how many survivors recover, if we don't reduce these numbers NOW, there will always be children to afraid to speak up about a serious matter. We will not be able to win this battle if these numbers keep growing. So, we can work to reduce them. If a child is not a victim of CSA, the child will not have to go through the tedious process of recovery.
