Child sexual abuse (CSA) is so prevalent in India that it has been compared to an epidemic. According to a well-known 2007 Ministry of Women and Child Development study, 53% of Indian children experience one or more forms of sexual abuse before the age of 18.
In light of this sad reality, HEAL has emerged as a project with the goal of establishing a community that not only values and understands its children's rights, but also actively protects them from sexual abuse.
Their primary mission is to prevent child sexual abuse through the use of education. They teach them about personal boundaries, physical space, and the difference between safe and unsafe physical contact in these workshops.
Your contribution helps to provide children with the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves, thereby fostering a society in which children can thrive in a safer environment. We can all work together to help break the cycle of child sexual abuse.
