Child sexual abuse is a rampant problem in India, because of which many children have been left scarred and traumatized. We need to make our country a safer place for children, by raising awareness about this issue and educating the masses, as children’s rights need to be respected, upheld and understood.

I am supporting the HEAL (Help Eradicate Abuse through Learning) Foundation’s phenomenal initiative- to conduct workshops, for children, adults and educators to raise awareness about this issue.

They conduct personal body safety workshops for children from grades 1 to 10, to teach them about body safety, safe and unsafe touch and tell them what to do in uncomfortable situations.

For adults and educators, they aim to enable them to understand, recognize, learn preventive methods and respond sensitively to child sexual abuse, thereby facilitating the eradication of this problem.
