Dear friends, in India child sexual abuse happens at a very high rate and it can be called a disease as well. According to a study by the Ministry of Woman and Child Development, almost 50% of the children in India experience one or more forms of sexual abuse before they turn into adults. I, Hoomyrah Rambhia am supporting The HEAL (Help Eradicate Abuse through Learning) Foundation, which emerged as a project that envisions a community that upholds, understands and values the rights of the children by protecting them from sexual abuse. 

The mission of HEAL is to prevent sexual abuse of children through education. They look to enable all involved to recognize, understand, and learn preventive methods and respond sensitively to child sexual abuse. 

Our main goal is to conduct child safety workshops with teachers followed by the parents. Post this, they conduct body safety workshops with children from standard 1 to 10 wherein they are taught about body safety, the right names of private body parts, physical boundaries, and good and bad touch.
