Overview:
These positions are a part of the team
responsible for ideating, managing, and executing various fundraising platforms
and event partnerships at United Way Mumbai. The predominant event is the Tata
Mumbai Marathon (TMM). TMM is India's biggest philanthropic sporting event, annually
raising more than INR 46 crores for nearly 300 nonprofits through numerous
corporate partners and individuals supporting them.
As the official philanthropy partner of the
TMM, we serve as the philanthropic exchange connecting donors to nonprofits by
creating and implementing an organized and structured charity platform. UWM
also operates the Monthly Giving platform, allowing users to donate funds to
various causes seamlessly every month using a variety of digital payment
options.
The Assistant Manager will
be closely working with existing nonprofits & developing relationships with new, enabling them to raise funds by
crafting fundraising opportunities and building capacities. For the TMM, the team member will be required to build rapport with nonprofits, corporates, key individuals
and maintain a consistent engagement and help them deepen their philanthropic
involvement. For Monthly Giving, the key metric for success would be to acquire
new users and convert existing donors to pledge their funding on a more continuous
basis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth, end-to-end knowledge of the Monthly Giving platform and the Philanthropy Structure of the TMM and constantly strive to
improve it. This includes research, on competing platforms both in India as
well internationally
- Building an understanding of digital marketing and developing strategies to boost new
signups and engagement.
- Understanding how, when, and why crowdfunding works and developing strategies around the art and
science of crowdfunding and then further sharing the information with nonprofits
- Managing the end to end individual fund cycle - raising, receiving, accounting, reconciling,
disbursing, and reporting
- Developing and maintaining an excellent business relationship with the partnered nonprofit’s
staff, HNIs, and corporate point of contact from handholding and providing
constant motivation to problem-solving any issues that they may face in their
campaign
- Contributing to all activities of the campaigns team including working on new event
collaborations
- Research,
recommend, and incorporate best practices to improve team efficiency
Profile Requisites:
- Bachelor's
or master's degree with a focus on humanities, marketing, communication, or
business administration preferred
- Any
experience up to a maximum of seven years in client-facing roles in the partnerships,
operations, and fundraising team at an NGO or a crowdfunding site would be highly
valued. Additional digital marketing experience will be an added advantage.

Remuneration: Subject to relevant qualification,
experience & merit; the
salary range is INR 7.5 - 12.5 LPA
