MISSION
Udaan India Foundation (Udaan) is an 18-year-old Mumbai based not-for-profit organization working with children from low-income communities in the field of education. Most Udaan children are from families where there has been little or no formal education where education is not a priority and it is common place for children to drop out to contribute to family income. Udaan started as an informal project in 2004 and registered in 2009 with a mission to enable a brighter future for children by providing them with desired knowledge, skills, values and support to help them achieve their true potential.
The objectives of Udaan are achieved through the Udaan working model that takes a child from foundation to employability. Udaan’s overarching goal aligns to the UN’S sustainable goal 4 that ensures inclusive and equitable quality education for all and goal 8 that seeks to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all. In the financial year 2022-23, as on November 2022, we have impacted 2573 beneficiaries.
