Jan Sahas is committed to promote the development and protect the rights of socially excluded communities with a special focus on girls and women. We have been engaging with the communities at the grass-root level to ensure dignity and equality for all individuals.
We have a strong SHG platform where we promote financial inclusion of the vulnerable community like manual scavengers, sanitation workers and people from extremely poor backgrounds. Collectively around 450 people are directly involved and benefiting out of this by the manufacturing Kurta, short Kurta, pants (lady fashion), Bags, files, curtains, towels, wallets, etc. We are running 5 collective centers at different places in Madhya Pradesh. We have started a social enterprise platform called 'Dignity and Design' to support the same. We have developed our own products and been able to open it for the market through exhibitions, community engagements, direct marketing by tapping the big entities at the cities and indeed through universities and CSR platforms.
