Non-Formal Education Facilities to Children of Migrants, 2015

Taloja

United Way Mumbai teamed up with Owens Corning and the Hope Foundation to organize a project, which aims at providing non-formal education facilities to children of migrants from 3 villages around Taloja, with the intention of getting the children into mainstream, regular school. The purpose of the project is to impart quality education to these children, keeping in mind their future requirements. Through the project, we hope to help the children acquire knowledge, self-confidence and skills.

The program also aims to impart health and hygiene awareness to improve quality of life in the villages with an estimated impact on the lives of over 1000 children and members of the community.
