Healthcare
EQUIP HOSPITALS AND HEALTHCARE WORKERS
Our public health infrastructure is currently overwhelmed and struggling to cope with the surge in cases. To stay safe and cater to the needs of their patients, healthcare personnel require PPE Kits and medical equipment.

SPREAD AWARENESS ON COVID APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR AND VACCINATIONS
COVID-appropriate behaviour such as wearing masks, social distancing and sanitisation are still improperly followed and are worsened by rumours regarding vaccination, leading to people hesitant to take their shots. We aim to spread awareness about COVID-19 within low-income communities through mass awareness drives, community walks, one-on-one health enquiry, liaising with local government and community influencers.

FACILITATE VACCINATIONS FOR LOW INCOME COMMUNITIES
We also aim to facilitate vaccine registrations in low-income communities in consultation with district and public health officials. Our teams will assist individuals in registering for the vaccine and provide transport to the vaccine centre for remote areas. The team will also follow up with them to ensure the second dose of vaccine is taken as per schedule.

Food Security
To compensate for the loss of income faced by marginalized communities, we propose to support families of daily wage earners, small business owners and self-employed persons through the provision of ration and hygiene essentials kits. The contents of the kit will suffice for a family of 4-5 persons for a period of one month.

HELP WOMEN EARN A LIVELIHOOD
The nationwide lockdowns badly affected daily wage earners and self-employed persons through loss of jobs. We will promote entrepreneurship among women, addressing low female labour force participation by supporting women with occupational tools that will allow them to start their own entrepreneurial ventures from home.

HELP TAXI/AUTO DRIVERS BE COVID READY
The drivers of regular black-and-yellow taxis or autorickshaws lack training on COVID-19 safety measures and do not have the resources for upradation, resulting in a higher risk of contracting infections for them and their passengers. As a result, passengers opt for private cab services leading to loss of livelihood for the black-and-yellow taxi/autorickshaw drivers. We are equipping these vehicles with safety screens, providing hygiene and sanitation material and training the drivers on COVID appropriate behaviour to maximise safety. This is done in collaboration with local RTOs and taxi/autorickshaw drivers’ unions.
