The primary beneficiaries of Spark-A-Change Foundation are children and youth from low-income families studying in Mumbai’s municipal schools and underserved communities. These children often face multiple barriers to learning, including weak foundational literacy and numeracy skills, lack of early education, poor nutrition, limited parental support, and financial constraints that disrupt their education.
Through our programs, we directly support over 2,200 children every year across the age continuum:
Pre-primary children (ages 3–6) benefit from the Anviksha Early Education Program, which prepares them with school readiness and foundational skills.
Primary and middle school students (Grades 1–7) receive targeted support in English and Math through the Foundational Learning Program, delivered with the help of trained volunteers.
Youth from disadvantaged backgrounds gain access to higher education scholarships, mentoring, and employability support through the Youth Empowerment Program.
Additionally, parents and teachers benefit from awareness sessions, training, and capacity-building, while the wider school community gains from improved teaching practices, volunteer engagement, and enhanced learning environments.
