Project DescriptionAbhilasha Foundation ensures that each child is provided with quick, effective and valuable treatment in time. Thus health must be assigned the highest priority in the developing countries. The parents from the economically weaker section find it difficult to treat their children who needs to undergo surgery or chemo treatment. It has been found that these parents do not treat their children due to lack of finance. This is when Abhilasha Foundation steps in and support the child for their surgery/treatment and save these children and give them a new lease of life. The death of the children can be prevented with access to good health care and to provide the poor with access to quality healthcare and life saving supplies. Life saving health services are often unavailable or inaccessible.

Beneficiary DescriptionMaster Adarsh Ganesh Kokate is 5 years old boy suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (It is a type of blood cancer that starts in white blood cells in the bone marrow, the soft inner parts of the bones. It develops from immature lymphocytes a kind of white blood cell that’s key to the immune system. It invades our blood and can spread to other organs such as liver, spleen and lymph nodes). He requires chemotherapy at the earliest. Due to their financial condition they had been going door to door for financial support and hence could not treat Master Adarsh Ganesh Kokate. His health started deteriorating day by day and they took him to Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Pune. Doctors informed them that he needs to undergo chemotherapy as early as possible. The approximate cost for the treatment of Master Adarsh Ganesh Kokate is Rs. 7,00,000/-. Abhilasha Foundation supported him for his chemo treatment.
ImpactPoor children are in dire need of urgent treatment and it's so heart wrenching for the parents to watch their kids dying as they are not rich enough to save their child. Children are the basis for all dimensions of sustainable development. Children are the basis for all dimensions of sustainable development. They have a right to thrive, develop to their full potential and live in a sustainable world. Children's growth and development is profoundly shaped by the educational, social, healthcare and economic opportunities afforded them by adults in a range of contexts. We act like a bridge for these underprivileged children to get to the hospital for most needed heart surgeries and cancer treatment.
