In Gujarat, our organization pioneers innovative mental health initiatives. Our Dava and Dua project integrates science and religion at a Dargah, providing holistic care to individuals seeking mental wellness through religious rituals. We also operate a helpline to rescue wandering mentally ill individuals, collaborating with authorities to admit them to hospitals for treatment, care, and security. Once recovered, we strive to reunite them with their families.
Appeal
We have been rescuing many wandering people with Mental Illnesses from the roads of Ahmedabad and Vadodara through our Aadhaar Helpline and admitting them in the Govt. Hospitals for Mental Health in respective cities with the Help of Police and Judiciary adhering to the Mental Health Care Act 2017. Once such people recover from their illnesses we try to develop rapport with them so that we are able to find their homes and families and reunite them. However, in many cases the families are not found and they have to stay in Hospitals for months and years. We wish to setup a Half-way-home for such 100 people so that they can be moved out from the hospitals. In such a home we wish to provide them with occupational rehabilitative activities and help them reintegrate within the community where they can lead a life with freedom, self-respect and dignity.
