Appeal
Suryoday Trust’s Lakshya 2.0 is a digital innovative Individualised Education Plan for special children. Traditionally, teachers spent considerable time on paper-based documentation, which distracted them from focusing on children’s development. With Lakshya 2.0, teachers can now concentrate on the developmental aspects of their students and less on record-keeping and monitoring.
Lakshya 2.0 is a comprehensive curriculum that facilitates setting up long-term and short-term goals, with specific tasks designed to achieve each short-term goal. Lakshya 2.0 aligns with the Functional Assessment Checklist for Programming (FACP) and is implemented in partnership with NIEPID. To make it accessible to schools across India we plan to make it multilingual.
The next critical stage is to create a Vocational Training and Skill Development Module within Lakshya 2.0. This module will further enhance the educational and developmental opportunities for special children, preparing them for a more independent and productive life. Plan is to take Lakshya 2.0 to 50 special schools benefitting approximately 4,000 special children and creating significant impact on more than 10,000 individuals.
To develop this module, we require funding of about Rs. 25 lakhs.
With this initiative, we envision a future where education is accessible, efficient, impactful, contributing to holistic development of special children.
