Aseema Charitable Trust is an NGO with a mission to equip children from marginalized communities. In Mumbai, Aseema works in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) to create centers of excellence within the public education system. As part of our commitment to support the tribal community, we set up our Education Centre, Aseema’s Bal Shaikshanik Kendra (ABSK), where the primary medium of instruction is Marathi. Our programme is holistic and encompasses co curricular activities such as music, art and sport. We also have a meal programme where every student is provided with healthy nutritious meals at school curated in consultation with a qualified nutritionist. Our team of dedicated Community Work Centre members forms an important link with the school and the parent community wherein the members visit the families of the students to understand their issues and drive home the importance of education.

The support of our donors enables us to work towards our mission of providing high quality, value based, holistic education to each child under our care. Your support enables us to achieve our goals pertaining to academic, co curricular, health and nutrition, counselling and social emotional welfare programme needs of our children and the larger community. In addition to the students across our schools, we continue to support our alumni in their quest for higher education. Our schools are based in Mumbai and Igatpuri. We look forward to partnering with you as we leverage the power of education in bringing a positive change in the world. We adopted 12 balwadis in various MCGM schools in the previous academic year and the funds raised will be utilised to continue to scale up our existing reach.
