Appeal

We intend to use the funds to support the following programs run by ARMMAN:
mMitra sends timed and targeted free critical preventive care information weekly/twice-a-week to mobile-phones of women during pregnancy and infancy in a chosen time slot and language. Currently implemented in Maharashtra.
Kilkari is a mobile health education service (similar to mMitra) implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). It is available in 6 languages across 18 states.
Mobile Academy is an mHealth-based refresher training program in collaboration with MoHFW for frontline health workers (ASHAs). It is available in five languages across 17 states.
Integrated High-Risk Pregnancy Management and Tracking: Training Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), Medical Officers (MOs) and Specialist doctors on high-risk pregnancy management and tracking through tech-enabled remote training, two-way communication support (WhatsApp helpdesk/ thin app/call center) with multimedia content supported by learning and training apps. Currently implemented in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Arogya Sakhi: In severely underserved geographical regions like Palghar and Nandurbar Districts in Maharashtra, women leaders are trained to provide home-based pregnancy and infancy care via diagnostic tests and counseling.
We will also use some funds for organizational development via team strengthening, data management and analysis.

Project DescriptionFunds were utilised for the implementation of Arogya Sakhi Program in Palghar district, Maharashtra that trains women health entrepreneurs (Arogya Sakhis) from the community to provide home-based preventive care, perform diagnostic tests and screen for high risk factors, and ensure early referral during antenatal and infancy period. Funds were utilised towards training these Arogya Sakhis in obstetric and pediatric modules. Medical kits and mobile tablets were procured and distributed to the Arogya Sakhis, to support them in conducting diagnostic tests during home visits to beneficiaries.

Beneficiary DescriptionARMMAN caters to two different segments of beneficiaries. 1. Pregnant women & mothers of children and children under age one by addressing delay in seeking care by improving access to preventive care information 2. Training of Frontline health workers for early identification & management of high-risk conditions via Mobile Academy & the Arogya Sakhi Program.
Impact3 Arogya Sakhis have undergone refresher training. 71 women and 55 children have been enrolled into the programme while 373 home visits have been conducted to pregnant women and children Sakhi's performed diagnostic tests and screened for high risk factors and ensured early referrals during antenatal and infancy period.
