About TRRAIN

The Trust for Retailers and Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN) is a pioneering non-profit organisation dedicated to uplifting marginalised communities, with a special focus on persons with disabilities (PwDs) and young women. Since its inception in 2011, TRRAIN has been a beacon of hope, working tirelessly to create sustainable livelihoods, foster inclusive growth, and transform lives across India.

Areas of Intervention

Empowering Persons with Disabilities (PwDs):
TRRAIN’s flagship programme, TRRAIN Pankh, is committed to empowering PwDs by equipping them with essential skills, training, and job opportunities in the retail sector. Through strong industry collaborations, TRRAIN not only ensures employment but also promotes true inclusion within the workforce.

Uplifting Young Women:
The TRRAINHer Ascent programme focuses on empowering young women from underserved backgrounds by providing them with vocational training, life skills, and employment opportunities. This initiative is designed to enhance their confidence, independence, and future prospects.

Impact
To date, TRRAIN has positively impacted over 43,000+ lives and impact a million more youth in the next decade, creating a ripple effect of empowerment and change. By focusing on sustainable development, TRRAIN continues its mission to build a more inclusive and equitable society.

Appeal

With TRRAIN Pankh - Wings of Destiny programme we hope to create sustainable livelihoods for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) by training and providing them with employment opportunities in retail. The funds raised will be used to skill PwDs in 3 key skills; Life skills, English language skills and Retail specific skills such as retail math, cashiering, computers, customer handling and work readiness skills. We will be providing PwDs with employment opportunities in retail companies across India.
