Beneficiary Description | Through the Multi-Speciality Mega Medical Camp:
Over 25,000 patients received free, high-quality medical treatment.
More than 7,000 medical tests such as blood tests, ECGs, sonographies, X-Rays, CT Scans, MRIs etc. were conducted to aid diagnosis and treatment.
More than 300 physical aids and appliances such as artificial limbs, wheelchairs, cerebral-palsy chairs etc. were distributed to those in need.
4,000-plus hearing aids and corrective eyeglasses were distributed.
Follow-up action for over 6,000 patients identified, who will soon begin undergoing treatment or diagnostics at Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital and Research Centre.
Over 1,00,000 medicines prescribed to those in need. |
Impact | Pujya Gurudevshri flagged off the biggest medical camp yet – the free Multi-Speciality Mega Medical Camp in Dharampur from 1st to 7th January, 2024.
This medical camp gathered an extraordinary team of over 200 doctors, including several super-specialists from across countries such as India, USA, UK, Canada, Singapore, Australia, etc. With over 20 specialities encompassing various domains like paediatrics, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, neurosurgery, etc., the camp was designed to cater to diverse healthcare needs. Through the camp over 6,000 cases were identified for further surgeries and procedures, which will be conducted over the course of the coming months. To support these interventions, another follow-up surgical camp is being planned. During the camp, measurements for physical aids were also taken for hundreds of physically-challenged patients. Thereafter, artificial limbs as well as other physical aids such as cerebral palsy chairs, standing wheelchairs and other specialized devices were distributed – like Arise wheelchairs and Neomotion chairs. |
