Project Name | Operational expenses of the centres offering Home away from home for children undergoing treatment with cancer along with their parents |
Amount Utilized (INR) | 4600000 |
Project Description | The funds raised were utilized to cover the operational expenses of the St. Jude India Centre and support key activities under the St. Jude for Life Program. Key activities included providing safe and hygienic accommodation, cooking facilities, nutritious rations, and daily transportation. Additionally, we offered educational support, recreational and counseling services, skill development for parents, and follow-up services.
Through the St. Jude for Life vertical, we supported St. Jude alumni (also known as Judians) in completing their education, maintaining good health, and leading successful lives. This program provides targeted interventions, either directly or through experienced partners, to support, mentor, and enable these children to become active, contributing members of society. These comprehensive efforts ensure that Judians receive the support they need to achieve self-reliance and success. |

Including the parents who stay with the children at the centre, we have supported over 900 beneficiaries in total, creating a stable and nurturing environment that enhances the child's treatment and overall family well-being. |
Impact | The funds have directly benefited over 300 children by providing essential services such as safe and hygienic accommodation, nutritious meals, and daily transportation, significantly enhancing their comfort and well-being during treatment. Educational support and recreational activities have fostered their learning and personal growth, while parents have gained from cooking facilities, skill development programs, and counseling, improving their ability to support their children. The St. Jude for Life Program has also helped alumni (Judians) complete their education, maintain good health, and transition into successful, contributing members of society.
