Samskrita Bharati Konkan Trust is a non-profit organization comprised of a large team of very dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who take the knowledge of Sanskrit to all sections of society irrespective of race, gender, region, religion, caste, age etc.
Our aim majorly is to -
- Promote the study of Samskrit and make it accessible to all sections of society.
- Co-ordinate the work with Samskrit institutions, specifically in Konkan region, for a more effective and rapid spread of Samskrit.
- Provide support, assistance and other means of supporting social workers, scholars who work for the protection and promotion of Samskrit and its traditions.
- Advertise about books, magazines, news bulletins, newspapers and leverage all means of communication to spread knowledge and information about Samskrit and its knowledge traditions.
- Help develop endowments and funding mechanisms for activities necessary for the promotion of Samskrit and its knowledge systems within the region.

We actively work in Konkan region for more than 25 years. Samskrita Bharati Konkan Trust has registered office in Mulund (Mumbai) and regional offices in Dombivali (Dist. Thane) and Parvari (in Goa). Konkan region has 23 districts comprising of Palghar, Ambarnath, Kalyan, Thane, Vasai, Mumbadevi, Prabhadevi, Borivali, Sahar, Oshiwara, Marve Dindoshi, Mulund, Ghatkopar, Chembur, Parle - Vidyanagari, Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Raigad, Uttar Ratnagiri, Dakshin Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Uttar Goa and Dakshin Goa.
At Samskrita Bharati we conduct various regular and occasional programmes like Sambhashanshibiram (Spoken Samskrit Camp), Baalkendram (for kids – 7 to 12 yrs age), Devavaani (for kids studying in 5 th to 8 th standard), Geetakendra (Samskrit through Geeta), Bhasha Pravesh (advanced Samskrit programme), Patradwara Samskritam (by correspondence), residential training camps at regional and district levels.

We are proud to have Dr. Vishwanath Tiwary as our brand ambassador for the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025. A renowned GI and HPB oncosurgeon with over 15 years of experience, Dr. Tiwary has performed 11,000+ advanced surgeries and is a passionate advocate for Samskrit. He is also an accomplished endurance athlete, earning the Ironman title three times and completing seven marathons, with a personal best of 3 hours and 32 minutes.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Tiwary was recently awarded the prestigious title of FACS – Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons. This honor reflects his exceptional achievements in the field of surgery and his dedication to excellence.

Our Programs:

• Samskrit Sambhashan Shibir: A 10-day camp introducing conversational Samskrit to people of all ages.
• Balkendra: A vibrant space where children engage with Samskrit through stories, games, and activities.
• Geeta Kendra: A center for learning the Bhagavad Gita in its original Samskrit form.
• Research Initiatives: Applying ancient texts to address modern challenges for societal benefit.

Our Goal: A New Hub for Greater Impact

To continue expanding our work, we aim to procure a dedicated office space to coordinate programs and host residential training for volunteers. This space will serve as the heart of our efforts to preserve and spread Samskrit.

Project DescriptionDistrict level conferences across locations in Konkan region to create awareness of Samskrit language in general public. Various sessions dessiminating the information about Samskrita Bharati objectives, programmes, importance & relevance of Samskrit were organized. The provisions were required to cover logistics, food-water supply management, equipment and likewise for these conferences. These conferences were conducted across Andheri, Borivali, Mumbadevi, Navi Mumbai and Ratnagiri districts of Samskrita Bharati.
