Project Description | Emergency Fund: A stop gap fund of Rs. 5000, to buy medicines, undergo chemotherapy, conduct preliminary diagnostic tests, provide support for palliative care etc. Ration Support: Most cancer patients who come for cancer treatment to Mumbai, must go through life changing events, like financial crunch, finding accommodations in Mumbai, diagnosis, and treatment side effects to name a few. Ration support kit of Rs 1000 will help support a cancer patient for a month or two and give them the ability to eat home cooked hygienic food. Supportive Care: Protein Powder, Hygiene Kits, Stoma Bags, etc. Accommodation: 60-70% of the 80,000 plus new patients come to Mumbai every year are from outside the city. Cancer treatments take months, and a safe haven is required for patients and caregivers. Rs 3100 per patient per month is the minimum requirement. Cancer Awareness: We empower the women in the urban slums through awareness talks and preventive measures for cancer. Rs 5000 is the for such a health talk Maternal Health: A nutritious kit of Rs 1000, containing jaggery, dry fruits, peanuts, etc. is a vital need in the community for the mother to eat healthy in the last months of pregnancy. | ||||||||||||
