3. Rkss has taken several initiatives of creating the opportunities of education for less privileged children since 1968.
1.Pre-primary school- We have pre-primary school at RKSS centre in Sion for children from disadvantaged communities as their parents cannot afford the heavy fees of private preschool.
2.We have been supporting many less privileged students by giving them services of free tutorials.
3.Recently RKSS has stepped ahead in developing the online digital platform for 1st to 12th grade where each child can access the tutorials with single click at free of cost under the initiatives of JEET (Joint Efforts For Educational Transformation). This access for free education will help many children who could not afford heavy fees of private classes.
4. Rkss has empowered more than 10000 disadvantaged women by developing skills and generating income opportunities through project “Sattva”. Sattva is a women led social enterprise, where women from disadvantaged communities create a wide varied range of innovative, upcycled, eye-catchy, trendy, handcrafted, durable products to promote green and sustainable production.

Appeal

All donations are spent directly for the uplift of women through vocational training and self-employment counseling as well as for the education and sports of children living in Mumbai slums. Our programs include: Vocational training programs, financial literacy classes, health and hygiene camps, children’s education, promotion of entrepreneurship, economic independence, and safety. Children’s educational activities are: Pre-school for kids, Free tuitions from standard I to std. X, Library with 2000 books in English, Hindi, and Marathi, Reading room, free computer training classes, Mallakhamba training and focused educational camps like spoken English classes, summer camp, citizenship education and, career counseling by accomplished mentors.
