At Anthill Creations, we envision a world where every child has access to play. The All-India School Education Survey, last conducted in 2016, revealed that over half of 62% of government schools do not have a playground. On the ecological front, 2.7 tons of tyres are discarded annually in India that end up in landfills or are burnt. Our solution at Anthill Creations is a response to both these problems.
We upcycle end-of-life tyres and use locally sourced materials, and labor to build child-centric, safety-first playgrounds for children from underserved communities. In the past 7 years, we have built over 480 playscapes across 23 states in India and have impacted over 220,000 underprivileged children. Over the years, we have innovated with the changing needs of the play sector. This includes launching an indoor play solution during the global pandemic and converting a truck into a mobile pop-up playground among others. Working in different rural and urban geographies, we have a strong hold on building relationships, optimizing operations, and strategic partnerships.

Appeal

Anthill playscapes have been directly attributed to greater classroom performance, improved attendance rates, and reduced violent behavior, in testimonies given by teachers and stakeholders involved in our projects. With the funds raised at the 2025 TMM, we wish to build 3 playscapes in remote rural geographies in Maharashtra from where we have received requests. This includes Tugaon, Vandur, and Badali. These funds will help us take play to 300+ children in these areas which will greatly enhance their social and emotional well-being. The cost of one playground will be approximately INR 3.5 lakhs which will include diverse activities focused on the holistic development of the child. This cost is inclusive of materials, project management, installation, and design costs.
