Project Description | From the funds raised, Chinmaya Mission worked on the following projects: 1) Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth: INR 177,41,946 were invested in completing the construction of the boys and girls and the kitchen. The USP of the kitchen is that it will run entirely on solar energy and fossil-free fuel. The cooking system that utilizes electric induction technology to deliver flameless kitchen with 50% reduction in the energy costs. 2) Chinmaya Vidyalaya: The Chinmaya Vidyalaya Satna (Madhya Pradesh) refurbished the Science Lab and Chinmaya Vidyalaya Samesi (Uttar Pradesh) for the refurbishment of the Computer Lab, construction of the classrooms with titling, plastering, painting, repairs of the staircase, and desk and benches. Scholarships to the deserving students. A total of INR 31,70,069 has been utilized. 3) Chinmaya Diagnostic Centre: INR 313,000 was used towards purchase of Bio-Chemistry machine Air Conditioner for the Path lab & OPD. 4) CORD: INR 10,48,110 was utilized in rural India for the Adaptive Aid and equipment for People with Disability, Capacity Building for Village Resource Persons, Annual Medical Care for the Persons with Disability, Livelihood support for the Ultra poor, Kitchen Garden for the Nutrition Needs and Entrepreneurship Development. | |||||||||||||||||||||

Beneficiary Description | Chinmaya Mission reaches out to everyone. Through vidyalayas and university to the children and adolescents. Rural Development projects help cater services to the women, elderly and entire families, persons with disabilities. Diagnostic centre helps in reaching out to ill patients. From the ages of 0 to 70 years and above are cater services by Chinmaya Mission Social Development projects. | |||||||||||||||||||||
Impact | 1) Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth: Over 850 students studying in the university has benefited with the developed infrastructure. In future over 3000 students using the facilities of Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth will benefit with the infrastructure. 2) Chinmaya Vidyalayas: 94 deserving students from low income families were given financial scholarships. Over 100 students studying in Vidyalayas of Samesi and Satna have benefitted with better school infrastructure, science lab, library room, computer lab. 3) CORD: 30 children and adults with disabilities, 10 families in rural India benefitted with medical care, 16 deprived households were extended support for livelihood options like poultry and small shops, 6 families were provided aid for kitchen garden for better nutrition and women entrepreneurs. 4) Chinmaya Diagnostic Centre: the purchase of Bio-Chemistry Machine int he Path lab is of great support. The Centre receives 100+ patients for blood test, culture reports, etc. | |||||||||||||||||||||
