Beneficiary Description | Children's Home - Providing shelter to homeless, destitute and orphaned children (boys & girls )aged 0 to 12 years. We ensure all newborns and children under 12 get the best healthcare and food, covering everything they need. Nutrition Programme - Providing nutritional support aged 5 years to 18 years (boys & girls) in the community. | ||||||
Impact | A total of 61 new children (45 boys and 16 girls) were admitted to Bal Asha Children’s Home. In total, 113 children (39 girls, 74 boys) received physical care, medical attention, and protection at Bal Asha Children’s Home. Through collaborative efforts with the police, local authorities, and social workers, 50 children were reunited with their birth families. 13 children were placed for Indian adoption, while 13 children received Inter-country adoption orders in other countries. Mostly, our children have been placed in Haryana, Hyderabad, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Italy, Switzerland, and the USA through Adoption. 3,74,256 hours of care given by the paramedical team, caretaker to children. We have cared for 21 children with special needs, providing them with specialised therapy, care, and education to meet their individual needs. During the year, Seven children were new enrolled in the school and an average of 26 children attended the school. Nutrition Progrqamme: We have distributed 4,839 Nutrition boxes (1,45,170 nutrition packets) to support enrolled children in this fight against their health challenges. We organised Eight health camps. We identified three of the most populated slums in Mumbai. | ||||||
