The Pre-school Project:- Preschool education is important for a child's development because it helps them learn and develop skills that can last a lifetime. Knowing the importance of pre-school, the New Education Policy 2024 integrates three years of preschool education into the formal education system. Pratham’s pre-school programs strengthens social, emotional, cognitive & academic skills of children in early years.
Remedial Teaching Support (for children of grade 8 and 9) :- While almost 96% of children being enrolled in school, not even half of them are able to acquire grade appropriate competencies as necessary for their grade, with many of them even struggling with their foundational skills of reading and arithmetic. Pratham’s Teaching at the Right Level approach enables children to acquire foundation skills, like reading and arithmetic. With the revision of no-detention policy of the state government for children of grade 5 and 8, Pratham aims to provide remedial support to children in grade 8 and 9 to strengthen their foundational & grade level competencies through adquate content, knowledge support & confidence to do well.
Sponsorship Project:- Due to various reasons, the majority being financial reasons, many children are out of schools even today. Majority of these childrencome from vulnerable communities/families with little or no access to resources. To help connect these children to the education net PMEI has a sponsorship program in place which helps children get access to education and build a bright future for themselves. The Sponsorship Programs offered by Pratham vary, with a focus being on helping children achieve educational milestones through it. Hence, any sponsorship provided is awarded to a child for a minimum of three years.It annually costs Rs.12,000/-
