Did you know that the Tata Mumbai Marathon is not just the biggest marathon in India but also the biggest charity event?
This year I plan to be a part of this mega event in order to raise funds for my favourite charity Karunya Trust. Karunya Trust is a registered NGO that has been working for the last 24 years to provide a safety net for the poor. They have several projects that have done tremendous work in the areas of Education, Health care and Shelter. There's project Gyaansathi which is a school for over 600 children in the Rafik Nagar slum next to Govandi dump yard. Project Savli provides education and medical support to children at High risk in Mumbai Suburbs. Project Bharari works with the tribal children from Ambernath Taluka. I have always been very keen to support activities for underprivileged young children. I believe they are the future and if we support them today they will grow up and build a better society.
I know you too want to contribute to this noble task. So I urge you to please contribute to the best of your ability. Karunya Trust is a grass -root NGO. It means the staff of Karunya Trust are themselves working with these children and communities. You can make an online payment by clicking on the link below.
