“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela Numerous children in rural areas lack basic access to education and are made to toil the same way their parents did, from a very young age. However, what needs to be realised is that if they are given the opportunity to educate themselves, their future will hold much brighter prospects for them. Education opens a wide window of opportunities and transforms lives in myriad ways. Education is a cause so close to my heart that I want to help make a change in every way I can. This is what inspired me to work with the Light of Life Trust, with a vision to transform the lives of underprivileged rural communities in India and to break the generational cycle of poverty, one life at a time. The Light Of Life Trust supports its beneficiaries through secondary education, higher secondary education, livelihood training programmes, primary health care, training of teachers and much more. In these trying times of the coronavirus pandemic, many children have been deprived of effective learning methods. They do not have access to tablets, laptops and other means of virtual learning. Therefore, by raising funds, we hope to ensure that holistic learning for these children continues. Every life matters.
