The CHIRAG school is located in the hills of Uttarakhand. It provides a caring and stimulating environment for children belonging to economically and socially weaker sections. During Pandemic the distance learning mode is continue where weekly study kits are provided to children and communication is done via phone calls. Unlike the traditional education system, the school runs alternative education. Around 120 students receive education at Chirag School. The students here have enough knowledge about flora and fauna to surprise us. This kind of education has bought natural interest and enthusiasm among students towards learning new things every day. They also encourage students to be fearless & curious while being empathetic and respectful towards each other. The school provides them with education at the cost of Rs. 150/month while incurring a cost of Rs. 2000/month for each child. CHIRAG School needs to raise Rs. 33,60,000 (approx USD 48,000) to continue its operations uninterrupted through March 2022. The school is mostly sustained through the humble contributions from donor agencies and individuals. The appreciable ratio of student v/s teachers is been maintained to ensure that the students get adequate attention and support in teaching and learning.
