Ummeed offers high quality, evidence-based, and culturally relevant clinical services to children and families with diverse disabilities. This forms the core of Ummeed’s work, and it is through these clinical practices, that its other verticals such as training, research, and awareness and advocacy have been derived.
The main outcome of Ummeed’s clinical services is that children with developmental disabilities receive access to high quality, multi-disciplinary clinical services to support their development, enable their participation, and empower them. Further, families/ caregivers will learn to support the development of their child and decide appropriate goals for the child.
In FY 23-24, Ummeed expects to support approximately 1200 children and families through around 10,000+ clinical sessions. About 75% of the families and 80-85% of the sessions will be concessional; thus, over 85% of the clinical expenses will need to be funded through grants and donations.
As a not-for-profit organization, Ummeed relies heavily on funding from individuals and organizations to carry forward all its activities and build a strong self-sustenance fund for future sustainability.
Children with disabilities, especially those from poor socioeconomic backgrounds, are amongst the most vulnerable of all. Therefore, we urge you to support us by donating and raising funds through friends and family.
