Raising Funds For

Agriculture is the main occupation in rural India. The lack of growth in this sector poses a significant challenge to India's efforts to advance as an emerging economy. Rural areas continue to suffer and lag due to low productivity, inadequate working capital, conventional farming technologies, and a lack of supportive farmer institutions.

Lupin Human Welfare and Research Foundation (LHWRF) is dedicated to promoting sustainable agricultural practices. LHWRF actively establishes demonstrative models that challenge conventional farming methods, aiming for broader adoption and replication. Moreover, the foundation emphasizes the formation of farmer producer organizations, encouraging collective bargaining and cooperative marketing strategies. Through these initiatives, LHWRF strives to facilitate sustainable and profitable farming, ensuring the well-being of both farmers and the environment.

The funds generated from the Tata Mumbai Marathon will be strategically employed to implement sustainable measures aimed at enhancing productivity, especially for farmers in the states of Maharashtra and Rajasthan. These measures encompass a range of initiatives, including the distribution of enhanced seeds to promote better crop yields, the introduction of improved technologies through comprehensive training and awareness programs, and the provision of sustainable practices through the establishment of Vermicompost units for facilitating nutrient-rich soil enrichment.
