About Me
Light of Life Trust is operating the Medical Mobile Unit in Karjat Taluka since 2012 and has effectively reached out to more than 80000 people from 94 villages/hamlets in the area. In 2018 in partnership with the KEMHRC, Pune LOLT was running its 2nd MMU in the blocks of Junnar, Ambegaon & Rajgurunagar, Pune District. In the year 2019 the 3rd MMU was launched in Dhasai, Murbad Taluka, Thane District by LOLT. In 2020, the 4th MMU was launched in Akkalkuwa, Nandurbar. In 2022, 5th MMU was launched in Dapoli. In 2024, LOLT launched 6th MMU in Akola & 7th In Washim.
Mobile Medical Unit provides primary health care services in rural, tribal, distant villages & hamlets with meagre healthcare facilities . The curative & preventive aspect with referral unit is the crux of impact of the lives.
Bringing quality health care services to door steps and to promote health care awareness & contemporary health care services among rural underprivileged masses, especially children, women and elderly thereby enabling reduction/prevention of the risk of common diseases and ailments like respiratory ailments, skin diseases, various vitamin and mineral deficiencies, gastrointestinal aliments, skeletal ailments, etc., besides creating awareness and demand for health seeking behavior.

Mobile Medical Unit provides primary healthcare services to rural, distant, tribal, inaccessible areas where the healthcare facilities are minimal. Mobile Medical Unit has reached out around to 1,50,000 & impacted around 5000 lives by FREE surgeries like angioplasty, bypass, cataract, dental treatments, congenital anomalies, etc. MMU is fighting its fight against illness, malnutrition of rural, tribal, underprivileged children & anemia of rural, tribal women by providing nutritious food, medicines & supplements for their better tomorrow. Thus, LOLT is trying its best to enrich & enlighten lives of the needy population.
