In my fifth Tata Mumbai Marathon, I wish to fund raise for 3 NGOs through United Way Mumbai platform in the areas of disability, cancer care and women empowerment in memory of my father, 1st generation graduate (CA) in the family who lost his fight with cancer about 11 years ago. I am targeting to raise at least Rs.15,00,000, and will be making matching contributions from me and from my organisation, Chiratae Ventures.

3. Srujna Charitable Trust in Mumbai helps create livelihood opportunities for the stifled women in low-income communities across India since 2011 by helping them create powerful, enterprising women that produce and sell hand made products. Together they empower them to become role models and changemakers in their families and communities. Totally 100,000+ women have been impacted with 65,000+ under financial literacy.
Srujna's Maitree project engages women from low-income communities to make reusable, odour free, bacteria free sanitary napkins which can be washed in a glass of water. These napkins are designed and treated with patent technology and are distributed to rural and tribal women free of cost. 10,000 kits have been distributed and 500+ women are earning income from this project.
