Mostly harmless, a little interesting, and usually vellah! Keen to contribute in my own way to the development sector and the numerous passionate individuals, who are selflessly & tirelessly working on a variety of societal issues. I have myself had a small peek into the sector with a stint at Dasra, SRTT & LGTVP. Am currently working in the for-profit sector, but am always available for all of my NGO friends :-)

Appeal

Saibaba Path Mumbai Public School is managed by Educo under the Public Private Policy of the he Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) . It extends from pre-school to standard 10th having served a 1000+ students from the community of Parel, Sewri and Lalbaug. The donations cover direct school program costs, teacher training, staff development and welfare and special programs such as sports, IT and arts.

I am running the 21k as part of the Tata Mumbai Marathon, to raise funds for tuition free, English medium education for underprivileged students. Your contribution will help Saibabapath students receive a 21st century education of children who are challenged by urban poverty in the heart of Mumbai (Lalbaug vicinity). These areas are now home to some of the tallest towers in the country! But availability of quality education/schools for the underprivileged is still a challenge.

Your contribution will be an investment for the future of these children who receive a holistic education that involves sports, arts and a value education. The school are the city's football champions (Milind Deora Soccer Challenge) and the past 4 years have had a 100% pass in the SSC board exams. Their education that even involves Robotics ensures they will grow as professionals, choose careers and economically empower their families. Over the years they will be change agents in their communities as they partake in the opportunities in the city of Mumbai !
