Along with an ambition to raise the bar and support such worthy causes, I feel privileged that my run will provide education and nutrition to children in dire need of it. Save The Children India in their 28th year,works towards empowerment of underprivileged women and children through health, vocational training & education programs. I am raising funds to support their Special Care Centre School which provides holistic education to 240 children with hearing impairment & learning disability from disadvantaged backgrounds. www.savethechildrenindia.org
Jai Vakeel Foundation is a 72 years old organisation working with kids & adults with Intellectual Disability(ID). Today, its a one stop solution for all the needs of an individual with ID. They provide Healthcare, Education, Skill Development & Support services to nearly 3000 individuals annually. The Foundation runs 3 special schools, vocational training centre & sheltered workshop, rehabilitation centre and rural neurological camps for children. www.jaivakeel.org
‘Join the fight against malnutrition’ with United Way of Mumbai. 83,068 children below the age of 6 have been categorized as severely underweight in Maharashtra. Few of the worst affected communities are in Palghar and Raigad districts that are barely 100 km to the north of city of Mumbai. UWM aims to provide nutritional supplements to over 1000 undernourished children over the next 7 months at a cost of INR 3,700 per child. www.unitedwaymumbai.org/
