The Tata Mumbai Marathon fundraising portal is now open For the last 10 years, for me the TMM has meant an opportunity to raise funds for Karunya Trust... an NGO whom we have seen grow and do better work each year.
This year I am raising funds for two worthy projects .One is the Gyaansathi vocational centre which we have been supporting for the last seven years. The second project is Saavli which supports HIV impacted children in Bhandup Nahur area.
Gyaansathi now has 3 centres in Shivaji Nagar, and the SSC batch is the largest so far. This year in fact we have a batch for young women who had to drop their schooling when they got married. These ladies are our special SSC batch this year.
The impact of the pandemic and the government's recent restrictions on foreign donations has been that these projects are severely lacking funding. I request you to please extend yourselves to make a sizable contribution this year in order to keep these projects on track.
