I have been associated with Isha Vidhya since 2008 and have followed its work closely. I have seen the children grow up and impact lives around them in so many ways , that i must say that this journey has been very heart warming. There are stories and stories of our happy children...of their achievements, dreams, aspirations and ambition . Each child is a story! Besides excelling in academics, they have done wonderfully in sports, quiz competitions , art, extra curricular activities. We have seen them win many awards and recognitions. But apart from all this, we see a generation growing up which is grounded and balanced. Our kids are deeply aware and grateful for the opportunities they have been offered. We see our alumni come back and support their schools in many different ways.
In all this the one important factor throughout has been you Dear Donor who has steadfastly and generously supported this project. I look forward to your support this year too. Every rupee you donate will be put to effective use.
Appeal
Over the last decade and half that I have been associated with Isha Vidhya, I have seen many success stories and achievements of these children. It is not only academic excellence, we see a generation of well balanced stable young people coming out of these schools.
Isha Vidhya students have been doing remarkably well in their board exams with 100% pass results every year and stupendous performance by a few. We have seen them excel in other fields as well....the many awards and recognitions they have won.
Just a look at the way the alumni is shaping is so heartening.
Isha Vidhya currently runs 10 schools in Tamilnadu (TN) & Andhra Pradesh (AP), with 8,500 children (49% girls), 60% supported through scholarships. Isha is also carrying out critical interventions through GSSP (Govt School Support Program) in 26 rural government schools, benefiting over 10,000 students.
This has been possible thanks to the generous support from friends, relatives and well wishers like you who have been contributing spontaneously!
