About Me

Iam 69 years old. Running Tata Mumbai Marathon formerly known as SCMM for ISHA VIDHYA under Half Marathon Category (21km) since 2011. Since 2018 started running 10KM Category with my Son Rajkumar. Retired from Lupin Limited as Dy.General Manager and worked for further 2 and half years as Senior Consultant. Now full time volunteer of ISHA FOUNDATION

Happy to inform you that Tata Mumbai Marathon 2024 is going to happen on ground on 19th Jan 2025.

As you may know, I've been running the Mumbai Marathon since 2011 (inspite of multiple health issues) to support the noble cause of Isha Vidhya. My son Mr.Rajkumar has also been running with me for 10 years now. Due to pandemic , Marathon didnt happen in 2021 & 2022

But it is especially in these challenging times that these children need your support more than ever. Expenses are growing as classes have been necessarily shifted online, and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funding has declined altogether due to the pandemic.

Our students continued their learning through WhatsApp & Zoom classes right through the lockdown and students in the lower classes continue to do so till last academic year. Now the regular School operation started.
During the lockdown, many of our students whose parents are daily wagers were hugely impacted. 2300 students, who normally pay the school fees, are only able to make partial payments this year despite the fee being 75% of last year's amount as their parents' income and livelihoods were badly affected.
So we urgently need to support to help pay the fee shortfall for these students. We invite donors to make donation to the extent possible.
