Amar Seva Sangam is one of the leading institutions in the field of disability management in our country founded and run by wheel chair users and in developing a �Valley for the Disabled� whereby Amar Seva Sangam is envisioned as a centralized resource centre with all facilities under one roof and satellite centers in about 800+ villages with 14000+ disabled population as client base (Service Users) through an innovative community participatory programme called �Village Based Rehabilitation Initiative�. Our centre has been developed from scratch to the present campus of 30 acres of land with several projects for disabled where about 230 disabled children and youth in-campus and more than 1000 day scholars use our services free in our High School, Medical Testing Unit, School for Special Children, IGNOU&Alagappa Higher Education Center, Vocational training centre, Spinal Post Acute Care Center and Early Intervention program. The demand for our services far exceeds our existing facilities but we are able to manage with fast turnaround of patients and strong village based and Home based follow-ups post discharge.One of the most prestigious fund raising events is SCMM. This year along with several volunteers I will be participating in the wheelchair run to raise funds to our organization. My fund rising in the past has been exceedingly successful due to overwhelming support from people like you. I appeal to you all to make my efforts successful this year also.
