About Me
I am Sruthi Unnikrishnan, Program Manager for the Doctoral Program at the Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS). I guide and mentor doctoral fellows and support them in their research journey. I believe through their work we can make a real impact on biodiversity conservation and human well-being. Supporting CWS is an extension of my passion for sustainable solutions that benefit both people and nature.
Appeal
The Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS) is a 40-year-old organization dedicated to conserving India’s wildlife and wild places. Through research, education, and community programs, CWS strives to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts, protect biodiversity, and empower local communities and forest staff with essential resources and knowledge.
I am passionate about protecting India’s wildlife and biodiversity. CWS’s efforts in conservation, research, and community engagement align with my vision of a sustainable future where humans and wildlife coexist harmoniously.
The funds will enable our doctoral students to conduct essential, high-impact research on critical topics such as wildlife ecology, conservation, human-wildlife conflict, and the role of women in conservation. These resources will empower our students to develop innovative solutions that inform more effective conservation strategies and enhance our ability to support rural communities more effectively. These initiatives are crucial for sustaining biodiversity and promoting ecological balance.
