Kundan, my nephew, was diagnosed with cancer in 2017. Initially, he was being treated for tuberculosis (TB) at a nearby hospital for six months. However, even after completing the treatment, his fever persisted. Concerned, we consulted a hospital in Muzaffarpur, where blood tests were conducted, but the doctors still diagnosed TB. When I questioned how it could still be TB despite six months of treatment, the doctors seemed uncertain.

Realizing something was wrong, we took Kundan to Patna, where a CT scan revealed the heartbreaking truth—he had cancer, and it had reached the second stage. Without wasting time, we traveled to Mumbai's Tata Memorial Hospital for his treatment. Despite a 7-month delay in starting the right treatment, Kundan recovered after undergoing proper care.

This experience taught me how critical it is to guide patients toward the right diagnosis and timely treatment. The challenges we faced—confusion, delays, and the emotional toll—motivated me to help others. In 2021, I joined DigiSwasthya, and since then, I have been dedicated to supporting patients from all walks of life, ensuring they receive the guidance and care they need to fight serious illnesses like cancer.

Kundan was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma—a battle that he overcame with strength, perseverance, and timely intervention. Now, my mission is to ensure no one faces unnecessary delays or misdiagnoses like we did.
