About Me

I have worked in the corporate sector for more than 25 years, and being a professional I really didnt have time to think about the poor and needy. I have witnessed how children and women on the streets in Mumbai are open to rampant abuse and exploitation. The strategy employed by the Raah Feeding Program of Project Hope is to reach the hearts of these vulnerable children through their stomachs and bring lasting change in the way they think , act, and live life for a better future. The program's simple objective of helping homeless street dwellers has caught my attention and so I have decided to raise a small amount through your kind support.

Appeal

The RAAH Feeding Program brings children together every Sunday for a nutritious meal, including protein-rich dishes like dal / chicken, rice/ roti, served with dignity.
This initiative allows the team to identify vulnerable children, assess their need for education, and protect them from abuse, often by trusted family or community members. Through songs, games, and stories, the program teaches values like respect, purpose, and the importance of education, fostering hope for their future.
The program has successfully supported children’s education, sending nine to boarding schools and planning more. One success story is a 20-year boy, who completed a diploma in Mechatronics after Grade 10, now working and aiming for Grade 12 and overseas studies. His family,too, have transitioned from the streets to a chawl.
