About Me
I am Kavya Kamdar, a sophomore at Krea University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Biology and Psychology. My journey has been one of personal growth—I faced challenges with obesity and experienced body shaming but overcame them through dedication to fitness, diet, and exercise.
Today, fitness is an integral part of my life, and I enjoy regular gym workouts. Beyond that, I have a deep love for music and cherish spending time with friends. Being a die-hard foodie, I’m always excited to explore and try out different cuisines.
I am supporting PDMDS in memory of my late grandfather, Mr. Harshad (Kanu) Kamdar because I believe in their mission to improve the lives of individuals with Parkinson’s and their families. By raising 25,000 (or more!), I hope to help them continue providing therapy, counseling, and support that can change lives.
Appeal
I am participating in the Tata Mumbai Marathon Dream Run 2025 to raise awareness about Parkinson’s disease and support PDMDS (Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Society), an organization close to my heart.
My late grandfather lived with Parkinson’s disease but chose to fight it without taking any medication. He stayed physically and mentally active through sheer determination and willpower. His strength and resilience were truly inspiring.
During his journey, PDMDS played a vital role by providing a supportive community, therapy programs, and essential resources that helped him and our family cope with the challenges of Parkinson’s.
Please consider donating and sharing this appeal with others. Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful impact.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
