About Me

Hello all,
I am Dr Monty Khajanchi and I choose to support palliative care institute Tapasya Foundation.

As a surgeon working in government and private healthcare, I see many patients who because of cancer or other end stage disease (Kidney failure, liver failure, Spine injury and bed ridden) witness a lot of suffering. I cannot cure these patients and often tell them to go home. But the kind of home and social and financial backgrounds these are often neglected and they have a painful and miserable death. I feel if I cannot CURE, there should not be an end to CARE. Organization's like Tapasya will take my patients and provide comfort, dignity and pain-free end to their life. Caring for loved one in your family takes a huge burden on the caregivers of the family both financially and psychologically. We could all contribute to developing such organizations which change this.
