About Me

I'm Kajal Yadav, and I'm on a mission to empower young girls, just as Udayan Care empowered me.

I am a dedicated and hardworking Shalini of USF with a passion for science. I scored 81% in my SSC Board exams, which paved the way for my admission to the Science stream at Abhinav College. Coming from a family of seven, where my father works as a welder and my mother is a homemaker, I’ve learned the importance of responsibility and perseverance from a young age. My father’s job has been the sole income source for our family, which has instilled in me a strong sense of dedication to my studies and future aspirations.

I am passionate about becoming a pharmacist, and despite scoring 69% in my HSC exams, I achieved 98 percentiles in the MH-CET for the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology group, all while balancing my entrance exam preparation.

In my free time, I enjoy reading and cooking, which help me unwind and stay motivated. My journey reflects my commitment to hard work, perseverance, and the pursuit of my dreams.

Appeal

I am Shalini, a beneficiary of USF Udayan Care, writing to appeal for your support for myself and other young Girls who, like me, dream of fulfilling our potential through Udayan Care’s programs. Udayan Care is a non-profit organization empowering vulnerable children, women, and youth across India since 1994. With a mission to bring positive change to underserved communities, Udayan Care has helped me, and many others pursue our dreams, and I am eager to contribute to this noble cause.

Growing up in a family of seven, with my father working as a welder and my mother as a homemaker, I have learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and responsibility. Despite financial challenges, my family has always supported my educational aspirations, and I have consistently worked hard to excel in my studies. I scored 81% in my SSC exams and secured admission to the Science stream at Abhinav College, where I continue to pursue my passion for learning.

In addition to my academic achievements, I have always strived to give my best in everything I do. I achieved a remarkable 98 percentile in the MH-CET for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, while balancing my Board exam preparations and entrance test studies. I also aspire to become a pharmacist and am committed to making a difference through my education and future career.

Now, I am excited to take part in the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM), one of the world’s top 10 prestigious marathon events. The TMM provides an opportunity to not only celebrate physical fitness but also raise funds for important causes. The funds generated through the marathon will go towards supporting Udayan Shalini's program, which empowers young women, giving them the tools to become independent, confident, and successful.

I kindly ask for your support in this journey. Your contribution will make a significant difference, enabling Udayan Care to continue empowering young women across India. Together, we can create a brighter future for many deserving individuals. Thank you for your consideration.
