Join Me in Supporting The Bicycle Project: A Journey to Education for Rural Children
Hello,
Education is a transformative force, yet many children in rural Thane and Palghar districts are held back by challenges that seem insurmountable. Having grown up in a government-aided school in Palghar, I have seen firsthand the barriers that keep children away from the classroom. Despite their proximity to Mumbai, these communities lack basic educational support, trapping families in cycles of poverty and limiting children’s futures.
Through The Bicycle Project with United Way Mumbai, I am raising funds to change this reality. Each 8,000 to 10,000-rupee sponsorship will provide a bicycle to help children reach school and cover essential support services like counseling and learning aids. This isn’t just about transportation—it’s about giving children a path forward, restarting the “wheels” of opportunity, and helping them stay on track toward a brighter future.
In partnership with Junoon Foundation, a local group dedicated to supporting rural children’s education, this project aims to reenroll dropouts across Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools in Thane and Palghar. Together, with your support, we can help ensure that distance, cost, and lack of resources do not stand in the way of these children’s dreams.
